Terms and Conditions
Last updated: April 2025
These terms apply to all enrolments in Tanjung Delima programmes. They are intended to be clear and straightforward. If anything is unclear, please contact us before enrolling.
Important: Tanjung Delima offers educational programmes, not regulated financial, legal, or Shariah advice. Completing a programme does not constitute receipt of professional advice, and nothing in our course materials should be treated as a recommendation specific to your personal circumstances. The one-to-one and combined sessions included in certain programmes are conducted by licensed professionals within their professional scope, but these sessions are part of an educational programme and do not constitute ongoing financial planning, legal representation, or Shariah certification.
1. Parties
These terms are between Tanjung Delima ("we", "us", "our"), based at Jalan Pasir Puteh 47, 31650 Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia, and the individual enrolling in a programme ("you", "the learner").
By completing an enrolment and making payment, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.
2. Enrolment
Enrolment is complete once we have received full payment (or an agreed first instalment) and issued a confirmation to your email address. We may decline an enrolment at our discretion, in which case any payment received will be refunded in full.
Enrolment is personal to you. Access credentials may not be shared with or transferred to another person without our written consent.
Where a couple or household wishes to study together, each learner must enrol separately. We can arrange combined billing on request.
3. Fees and payment
Current programme fees are:
- Writing Your Own Financial Plan — RM 805
- Pension Options and EPF Withdrawal Strategy — RM 2,260
- Succession and Hibah for Malaysian Families — RM 3,270
All fees are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of course materials, digital access, and any professional sessions specified in the programme description. Fees do not include any costs you may incur with your own legal or financial advisers outside of the programme sessions.
Payment is accepted by FPX online banking transfer, or by direct bank transfer to Maybank, CIMB, or Public Bank. Account details are provided on the enrolment confirmation.
Instalment arrangements are available for the EPF Strategy and Succession and Hibah programmes on request. Instalment terms must be agreed in writing before enrolment is confirmed. Programme access commences once the first instalment is received. If subsequent instalments are not received by the agreed dates, access may be suspended until payment is brought up to date.
4. Course access
Once enrolled, you have access to all digital course materials for a period of 12 months from your enrolment date. This window is provided to accommodate learners who work through material at a considered pace. We do not restrict access within this window based on completion speed.
Printed materials (where included) are dispatched to your registered address within 10 working days of confirmed enrolment. If you have not received printed materials within 15 working days, please contact us.
Following the 12-month access window, we do not retain your course progress data beyond what is required for our own records.
5. One-to-one and combined sessions
Sessions with licensed professionals (financial planner, lawyer, or Shariah-qualified planner) must be scheduled within your 12-month access window. Sessions not scheduled within this period will lapse unless an extension is agreed in writing.
Sessions are conducted by video call or at our Ipoh office, by arrangement. If you need to reschedule a session, please give at least 48 hours' notice. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice may be counted as used at our discretion.
Session content is governed by the professional's own obligations. We are not responsible for the professional judgements made within those sessions, though we do select and review our professional contributors carefully.
6. Deferral
If you are unable to begin or continue a programme after enrolment, you may request a deferral within the first 30 days of your enrolment date. A deferral pauses your 12-month access window and carries your enrolment forward to the next available cohort start, subject to availability.
Deferral requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. One deferral per enrolment is permitted. A second deferral may be considered in exceptional circumstances at our discretion.
7. Refunds
We are committed to being fair. Our refund policy is as follows:
- Within 7 days of enrolment — if you have not accessed any course materials, a full refund will be issued
- Within 30 days of enrolment — if you have accessed materials but wish to withdraw, a partial refund equal to the fee minus RM 200 (to cover administration and materials costs) will be issued
- After 30 days — refunds are not available, but we will consider a deferral request (see clause 6 above)
If we cancel a programme cohort before it begins, a full refund will be issued. If a programme is significantly altered after enrolment in a way that materially changes what you purchased, we will offer a deferral or a partial refund appropriate to the circumstances.
To request a refund, contact us at [email protected] with your enrolment details. Refunds are processed within 14 working days of approval.
8. Education and advice — an important distinction
This clause is important and we ask that you read it carefully.
Tanjung Delima's programmes are educational. They are designed to improve your understanding of financial topics relevant to Malaysian households in their 40s and beyond. They are not a substitute for regulated financial advice, legal advice, or Shariah rulings.
The one-to-one sessions in our EPF Strategy programme are conducted by a licensed financial planner. These sessions are included as part of your education and allow you to ask questions about your specific situation within the professional's scope. They do not constitute an ongoing financial planning relationship, do not create a duty of care beyond the session itself, and do not result in a formal financial plan prepared by the professional on your behalf unless separately agreed.
The combined sessions in our Succession and Hibah programme involve a licensed lawyer and a Shariah-qualified planner. These sessions are provided for educational purposes. They do not constitute legal representation, a legal opinion, or a Shariah ruling unless the relevant professional explicitly confirms otherwise in writing.
If you require regulated financial advice, legal representation, or a Shariah opinion specific to your circumstances, you should engage a licensed professional independently of your participation in our programme.
9. Intellectual property
All course materials — including written content, templates, recorded sessions, and printed documents — are the intellectual property of Tanjung Delima or our licensed contributors. You may use them for your own personal education but may not reproduce, distribute, or share them with others without our written consent.
10. Conduct
We ask that all learners engage with our programmes and with our team in a respectful manner. If conduct in a one-to-one or combined session is inappropriate, we reserve the right to end the session and, in serious cases, to withdraw access to the programme without refund.
11. Limitation of liability
Tanjung Delima's liability to you under these terms is limited to the fees you have paid for the programme in question. We are not liable for any financial loss, investment decisions, or legal outcomes arising from your participation in a programme or a professional session, except where such liability cannot be excluded by Malaysian law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes that cannot be resolved between us directly will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
